Business jets are beautiful, that is all.

With no new military contracts in over a decade, I'm glad there's still one aviation sector that says, "Forget economy, make it look pretty!"

Except we do try and be very economical. Being pretty does cost a lot, but under the pretty paint there's optimized structures and systems along with fuel efficient aerodynamic designs and engines.

Of course, but in talking to the guys at Gulfstream and Cessna, ramp appeal is still a huge priority.

That and generally aircraft that look pretty, fly pretty (From an engineering design standpoint, at least. Saying paint makes it fly better is like saying putting a greddy sticker on my car is +5 horsepower.)
PS: As an anti-nitpick, yes, I understand that paint CAN actually affect the flying characteristics of a plane, particularly the weight of the paint. :P
